drinking water and vomiting? Tinka sometimes will drink water quickly and then a few minutes later will throw up - just bile. It's the only time she throws up and it never has food in it. Is this normal? Is she just drinking too fast? She doesn't act sick or anything and keeps all her food down and her stools are normal. omega

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | probably just drinking too fast. i've known some dogs that do this. try not filling the bowl up too much when you know she's really thirsty so she doesn't slurp it all down. OR train her to drink out of a water bottle. i find it better then drinking from a bowl cause my pups beard doesn't get all wet.

Riley does this once in a while...usually when he starts playing right after getting a drink...he'll grab a toy, start bouncing around, burp and leave a little puddle. I don't think it's anything wrong though because it's just water. The water bottle is a good idea and they will use one once you show them how.

water bottle Thanks, that makes me feel better. After reading here for awhile, I get paranoid about anything that goes wrong with my furbabies! Where do you put the water bottle for your dogs? I know they are made to hang in kennels and stuff, so where do you keep yours? Thanks, omega

Tiah did this as a pup.....she was thirsty, but just too buisy to take the time to drink properly. Now that she is an adult, it never happens.
