| Someone please help.. Poor Bruno threw up about a handful of carrots and then basically tipped over.. he then pee and pooped on himself. I called a 24 hour vet and the woman who answered wasn't very helpful at all and told me that maybe it was just something he ate and not to worry about it unless he's still throwing up in the morning. He wasn't moving earlier but now he sort of is. He's just laying here shivering.. should I be worry? Am I overreacting? Has this happened to anyone before? I don't know whether or not I should take him to the vet. I don't really want to since they didn't seem to be very helpful but I'm so worried and there isn't another vet close by. Someone.. anyone help! |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | hI...How old is he ? That vet should have told you to bring him in....That's what I would have done !! if he fell over and is shivering - that could be a number of things - possibly low blood sugar - but PLEASE find vet if he's still doing this - Do you have Nutrical or Karo Syrup ? I hope by the time you read this he's feeling better |

| I'm with V. Get him into the Vet. At the very least they can get some fluids into him. Good luck. I hope your furbaby is fine. It's better to be safe than sorry!

| Siezure?? It could have been some sort of siezure. It sounds like a siezure to me because of the urinating and deficating. Usually, when they have a siezure they lose control of those things. I would absolutely take him to the vet!

| Give Nutrical, Karo (corn syrup), or honey - Head to the vet immediately. Sounds like a seizure, but I had one have seizures due to hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). Hope everything is okay, please keep us posted. |

I agree with SpicesMOM. A low blood sugar attack usually doesn't produce "loss of control"..... Hope Bruno is doing better. Keep us posted.
