Hi this is harley"s Mom, we just took Harley to the emergancy vet. He was stumbling and couldn't stand up, then he started jerking. We had a leak with our water softner and the vet said that his sodium level was quite high and his red blood cells were breaking down. The vet just called me to say his sodium level isn't as high and his red blood cells are a little better. We just have to pray he didn't digest any anti freeze out in the shed while licking that water from the softner. we don't think he got much of that water. Also Harley has a habit of eating or trying to eat mushrooms in the yard.He may have gotten one of them this morning on his walk. We walk him on a leash so we can watch him better.I feel so bad , he is very sick. please pray for our little guy and if you have any advice please write me. I love that dog so much.

Oh no....I hope he's going to be ok and you acted quickly so that's good - I said a prayer for your Harley and all the best to you - I hope he feels better quickly and comes home soon.....

Our thoughts and prayers with be little Harley and you. Try not to beat yourself up over this - accidents happen and you can't possibly control their every movement. Wishing you a speedy recovery Harley.

thanks so much for your prayers. The vet said he was resting well and the only time he jerked was if the vet tried to touch him. It just breaks my heart to see him so sick! The vet said if he makes it throug the night he would most likely be ok. He's a scrappy little guy and very persistant. I hope he hangs in there.

I hope your little Harley does well. I'm sure you love him very, very much. They do have a way of wrapping themselves around your heart, don't they? I have to watch for mushrooms in Kacee's fenced-in yard, too. I have to check it three or four times a day and cut them out if I see any. Take care and we'll pray your little one will be well again soon.

Good Morning everyone,

Haley"s vet just called and said come get him he is ready to go! He said he was barking and carrying on and wanted out of that cage. Thankyou all for your prayers, I am sure the prayers and skillful hands of the vet are what made Harley well!This is a wonderful site with very nice people and we appreciate all your concern.
