| Very very MAD My Timmy has been sick since yesterday. I noticed that he hadn't eaten or drank water and was throwing up and had the runs. Last night I had him in the bed with me and he was so weak and looked like he didn't have the energy to walk. I called his vet this morning and asked for an appointment today and explained what was going on and that I was very concerned. They told me that they didn't have any appointments available today and gave me one for tomorrow morning. They also told me to give him white rice and pepto bismal. I wasn't very happy about that. I then hung up the phone and called his daddy and told him what the vet had said. He wasn't to happy either. I then decided to look in the phone book and call another vet. The first vet I called was able to see him within the hour so daddy took him to the doctor because I was at work. Then daddy called me from the doctor and told me that they took him to the back and started IV fluids because he was dehydrated. Then I really blew up and started to cry so I called his vet and asked them to fax me his shot record and can I tell you the receptionist got nasty with me! Oh she really got it from me! I decided that I would no longer take him there because that was the second incident I asked for him to be seen and they never could see him that same day. My fiancee told me the new vet was wonderful, very helpful and explained everything in detail. They provided him with diet food until he gets better and gave him medicine. So when I got into town he was already home and when he seen me he was as happy as can be and had so much energy because of the fluids they gave him. I just had to vent because I keep thinking what if? What if I didn't call another doctor. You all know the mommy in us is always right. |

| You always have to trust your instinct. My vet office has 5 vets (all great) who work there. If you are having a medical problem with your baby, all you have to do it call, they'll tell you to come right in and they'll work you into the schedule. This is the way it should be. We also have a 24 hour emergency vet clinic in the area for after hours issues. You might want to see if you have one in your area as some issues shoudln't wait till morning.

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | So glad someone was able to see him. its total crap that your regular vet wouldn't see a sick puppy. Vineland is down by pomona right? i went to college down there. Wish i could give you a good vet recommendation but the only one i knew was the vet on white horse pike in absecon, and i didn't know her too well. Glad your fiancee liked the vet you took him to and that he's feeling better now |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | So glad you trusted your instincts and got him in. My vets are so good if it's an emeregncy, and it usually is, they fit Cali in becasue they know her history. I take a box of candy every time they do this because I appreciate it so much. I also am very familiar with the ER clinic which is 5 minutes away even closer than my vet.

| Kalina I'm about 20 mins away! Thanks to everyone! I know I can always vent here and have other people that understand. I think I am going to like the new vet. If my fiancee liked them I'm sure I will. They have a few doctors there and are able to accomedate us. I will meet our new vet on Monday because my little girl has to go get her shots. |

| Timmy, you are a Hero in my book. Believing in yourself and trusting your instincts probably saved your Timmybaby's life. I can't imagine, I can always get a same day appointment, in fact, in an emergency I just load my babies in the car and go and I am always WELCOME. I hope you have better experience with the new vet. |
