Donating YT 30K Club Member | My Pom gets that a lot. Sometimes 5=6 times a day. You may want to have her checked out. Could she possibly have allergies? Maya will have spells of it maybe 3-4 days in a row then go months without it. She tends to get it when she gets excited.

| TeeJay just had an episode of reverse sneezing. I noticed he only does it when i'm cleaning something with chemicals in it. Earlier I was cleaning the bathroom with bleach and he started reverse sneezing immediately. Do you use any strong chemicals that you use to clean? That could be a reason for the reverse sneezing. |

| Snorting I know what you mean and we have come to call it snorting fits. It seems to only happen when Cookie gets really excited. Especially if she's been home alone and sleeping all day. Then when someone gets home she gets very excited but is still kinda dazed from just waking up and then she gets her snorting fit. She trembles as she goes through it, which lasts only a minute. I try to comfort her and calm her down. Any one know what it could be from? It scares me at times b/c it seems that she has trouble breathing as she snorts. Poor babies!! |

| My yorkie & maltese do that too! My yorkie and my maltese both do reverse sneezing. I too, was very worried the first time i heard it...it sounds terrible. I do find that they do it much worse when they get excited, which I see seems to be common...lol. |

| Holly has been having this problem too and I hoped it was reverse sneezing. However it was very frequent...+ 8 x a day,so I took her to the vet.He thinks it is an Upper respitory infection and gave her antibiotic and abti-inflamatories. Already after 2 days her cough/sneezing is much less. It still happens when she is excited. Don't just assume it is reverse sneezing if it happens a lot-check with your vet.

| Buckeye does this all the time. When it frist happened, I took him to the vet. I was so darned scared! of course he didn't do it while at the vets office. I described what he was doing, the stiffened legs, eyes bulging, gasping for air. He said sounds like reverse sneeze to him. I did research on it and no klonger worry about it. Buckeye don't think anything about it either. He sometimes just keeps walking. I will stop him and say swallow and that generally works.
