| Gucci ate a hersey kiss I like to know if any ones furbaby ever ate a small amount of chocolate. I just got in and I had a piece of hersey kiss in a box that I thought I threw in the garbage.. Apparently I didnt and it must have dropped and Gucci was chewing on something. I went to check her mouth and she snapped and I saw the pink wrapper , she ate it all.I looked in garbage and lo and behold it was missing. So she has eaten a chocolate kiss with wrapper and all. I called the vets office and they said dont be to concerned with the small amount of chocolate, he just mentioned the wrapper wasnt the greatest thing to eat. He said it will pass, now Im a nervous wreck!! Will she be ok? has anyone had this experence? Should I be concerned?? Gina |

| Don't you worry! That is such a small amount, you don't need to be concerned. Tucker ate a half of a yodel once and he was fine! It will be exciting to see the pink foil come out in the poopie!

When they Xrayed Cali yesterday they saw a piece of metal that she swallowed. they said it had already passed her intestines and was waiting to come out so I would think it will just pass through.

| I should only tell you the things my dogs have eaten over the years. It would make your little chocolate kiss look like "nothing." And - they always survived!!!!! Carol Jean |

| Well, it wasn't a yorkie, but we had a corgi for years. Patches jumped on the coffee table one day when we were gone and ate herself silly. She found a bowl of Hershey Kisses, she ate everything, wrappers and all. She never had a problem, and I'd be willing to bet your little furbaby will be fine also.

| Dori just did the same thing!! When I noticed that she wasn't in the same room as me, I went looking for her and found her under my daughters bed with an empty candy bar wrapper! I flipped out and called the vet. The vet said that Semi sweet chocolate was much worse than milk chocolate. He looked in the "vet book" and found that for a 6lb dog 4 ounces of chocolate is TOXIC. Luckily the solid milk chocolate cupid that Dori ate was 1.2oz ! He did say that 1.4 oz would make them sick though. Sure enough, Dori puked what looked and smelled like melted chocloate for about 3 hours!! But she is all fine now, Thank God!! |

| I almost hate to tell anyone about my lab that reached up on my kitchen counter one night (while we were sleeping) and ate almost six dozen chocolate chip cookies ---- yes - nearly the whole SIX DOZEN. Then before we got up he proceeded to throwup and poop from one end of the house to the other. The cookies obviously made him sick, but the next day he was perfectly fine and was ready to eat another six dozen. Can you even imagine the ingredients in a double batch of chocolate chip cookes --- and least two bags of chocolate chips, nuts, probably a pound of real butter - cups of flour - sugar - eggs - and whatever! The only funny thing about this terrible terrible mess was that there was one lone cookie left on the counter (way back in the corner) that he couldn't reach. Imagine that! Carol Jean |

| Hahahahaha, Cadbury's is my favorite, too!!! Every time I go to England I come back loaded with Cadbury Crunchies, Yorkie bars and Walker's crisps, lol. I once had a cocker spaniel find the candy stash for my son's Easter basket. I walked in and she had her paws wrapped around a solid chocolate bunny and had just eaten its head, LOL. She was fine!
