| Bloodshot swollen eye mystery solved... Sabrina's been having a problem with one of her eyes being swollen and mattered for the past couple of weeks. It would get well, then happen again. I was using triple antibiotic on it and that helped, but I couldn't figure out what was happening. THEN... I was watching the girls play fighting. The puppy gets under a table that is about 4 inches above the floor, and Sabrina's on the outside edge running around trying to get the pigs ear or toy from her, and they are play biting (I hope) and Sabrina was Bonking her little forhead right on the table! Since I saw this, I have moved the table when the "fun" starts and tried to keep the puppy out from under it and her eye is doing much better. I thought I'd share this, because it never occurred to me that Sabrina would be giving herself a "concussion" type injury, just playing! Maybe it will help someone else..

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I hope her eyes are better but I still don't see how that could make them bloodshot....You aren't putting that triple antibiotic IN her eyes are you ? There are eyedrops you can get from your vet that will probably help the redness - but the symptoms you're describing sound more like an infection than bumps on her head..... Has your vet seen this little girl ? From your other posts - I would for sure take her in for a complete checkup considering your fears about your boyfriend.... |

Too old for boyfriends. Yes, I'm sure about the cause of this one... Sabrina was giving herself a black eye!
