| Bloody Diarrhea + Vomiting Help needed asap Hi! 14 hours ago my 3 years old baby boy started having diarrhea. At first we thought it's just a tummy upset, because we changed his food one week ago. He had so far 6 diarrhea episodes. What concerns me really bad is that now - during the night, when I can't contact any vet in my area - it's all bloody. Last 2 episodes at least consisted mostly of red blood. He also vomited twice in last hour. As i said before, I live on a small island and all vets open in 6 hours. I can't contact anyone now. How can i help my little angel? He is refusing water and seems to be in pain |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | How is this baby today? I would be very scared that this could be pancreatitis, which can be life threatening. The only thing you can really do is force small amounts of water through a syringe, into the mouth so at least he doesn't get totally dehydrated. Also, did he eat anything off of the ground...?

| Hi. He's feeling much better now, thank you very much for asking! Poor him, was in pain whole night. We cried together. Thank God, the vet told us it's nothing too serious - not infectious nor HGE. We took a bloody stool sample to vet and he also had one blood test there. Our lucky boy is not dehydrated, least not yet. That was a big concern for us, since he refused to drink water for 12 hours. Now he is on treatment for ulcer gastrointestinal. We need to find a solution to make him take his pills every 12 hours. We already tried hiddding em in apple - doctor said it's recommneded to give him small apple treats. He's a big apples lover but he can smell the medicine inside and he obviously refuse to eat it. Any tips for that? If we try to hold him he becomes agitated and i'm worried that he can hurt himself. I'm out of ideas. What else can I try? |

| Sounds like he has eating something. My yorkie was like that. I gave him coconut oil and olive oil and put it in his favorite food. It took a couple of feedings but he eventually pasted what he had eaten. Hope this helps. |
