| need diagnosis ideas We were at a friends playing when my friend's dog started acting very strange. I guess she just cried out and acted crazy then she went quiet. She kept licking her leg...then just licked the air. She wasn't interested in playing anymore and wanted to sit in her Mommy's lap. The licking continued but she isn't licking anything...just the tongue doesn't stop. Any ideas? We wondered about sting or insect bit? Does anyone know what an active tongue means? (she is a 5.5 lb. active Yorkie who never stops for anything) |

| is it a puppy. My Logan did the licking tongue thing when he was trying to lose a tooth, just like a little kid. Also my pup would all of a sudden yelp and then limp, this was caused by his growth plates not being closed yet (according to my vet) and it cleared up on it's own. Just a couple of thoughts. But please have them call the vet just to be sure.

| When my dogs do that its because something happened in their mouth. Look at her teeth and tongue. I would almost bet you will find the problem there. When Lilly did that she had a hanging tooth!! (thank God it was only a baby tooth!)
