|  Cookie Needs Prayers My Cookie was fine yesterday. Woke up today sick. She was acting very quiet and didn't want to eat. Totally not like her at all. I picked her up and she had a low moaning sound. She also was walking a bit hunched over. For those who don't know Cookie, she has a history of PLE/lymphangectasia and IBD. Here is a thread about her: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sic...ia-update.html Anyway...I took her to my vet and her blood work didn't look good...albumin was low and also globulins.... her amylase and lipase were elevated. She was referred to the internal med specialists and she was admitted to ICU. Xrays showed that she does have pancreatitis. They will be doing a cPLI tomorrow so we can see how bad it is. She needs pred for the PLE but with the pancreatitis she cannot have a big dose. They are giving her a low dose of pred starting tomorrow because they don't want the PLE to get worse. She is on hetastarch as she did have fluid in her abdomen. Cookie is strong and I am hopeful...but realistic and know that she could turn on a dime. Prayers appreciated....I will update after I visit her tomorrow.

| Oh, I am so sorry.....sending prayers up for your baby girl Cookie......you can take comfort knowing she is getting the very best vet care she could possibly be getting....nothing will get past them, nothing will be "lost" or "forgotten".....praying for baby girl Cookie..... |
