| It's been a crazy day. One of my fosters, Kandi, has ?? HGE and so I had to deal with that too. Anyway...both are doing ok this evening. Kandi is home and will be going back to the vet tomorrow. They think she can do ok there and not need specialist When I went to see Cookie, she came right to me wagging her tail and kissing me! I was so happy to see her like that! She is still sick, but she is a tough one The plan is to continue to fast her for another day. Once they get the pancreatitis under control, they can up the prednisone and try to get the albumin up; but thankfully the albumin is staying put at 1.9 (low but not dropping). The fluid in her abdomen is not increasing, so that is good. The hetastarch helped that. Her resting Bile Acid was a tad high, but not something to worry about too much. They may repeat it in a couple of days. Ultrasound did show inflamed pancreas and also the PLE/lymphangectasia. OK...drawing a blank...there was another test that was ok, but I forget now. LOL All in all, she is stable .. I am so relieved! I will post photos later...they are on my phone. I took a small video of her barking at the door in the visiting room. She heard a dog on the other side. THANK YOU everyone for your kind words and prayers for my girl!!

| I am very happy to read a great progress report on Cookie. Saw the video of her barking too! That was nice to see after the photo of her not looking like her spunky self. Keeping Cookie and Kandi in my prayers.

| The first photo is from yesterday at my vet before she was referred to Gulf Coast. You can see she was not well...ears back and just not looking herself. The photos today were so much better...probably due to the drugs, but it is still wonderful! They were crazy busy today with emergencies and the specialist told me that Cookie was her bright spot every time she saw her. cookie5-17-2016.jpg 20160518_111033.jpg 20160518_111718.jpg And the video..... this made my day! Look at her little tail! https://youtu.be/edtlQVk8HXk

| I am very happy to hear Cookie is doing well and is scheduled to return home tomorrow! The Yorkie Farm needs her. Who else will keep everyone in line and protected from Polly Possum?

YT 2000 Club Member | dog Hope cookie is doing well. My spud had pancreatic is and was on a very strict diet. Plus meds. Hills science diet zd. We Yorkie owners must be very careful not to feed fatty foods. Those chickens we buy from the store already cooked have fat in them. Yorke shouldn't have them or any thing fatty. I so thankful Gracie is getting better |

The cause of pancreatitis is often not known. Yes, diet can cause it, but it is not the only cause. Also, lymphangectasia pups often do end up with pancreatitis and vice versa. Both conditions are related to the digestive system. Lymph Node Inflammation, Intestinal Tract (Lymphangieasia) in Dogs | petMD

I've said it before, but have to say it again. I do not know how you do it. When Willie had his HGE scare, I fell to pieces. I so appreciate that there are people like you who offer so much support for these little ones; not just financial, but also the emotional support that you provide for these babies. Hope you have a peaceful weekend and your babies continue to be on the mend.
