bold ears and tail !!!! I got peanut when he was 4 months old, he was full of hair and so cute. But then he lost all the hair on his ears, before that when I saw him with the owner he didn't have hair on bum and tail and bridge of the nose, then I took him to the vet and he gave h fungus medicine for a week and the hair grew back after a month, but I took peanut from his owner and the hair on his ears fell ! And it became bold, I took him to the vet again and he gave me fungus ointment and it's been 3 months !!!! The hair on his eat grew and 2 weeks ago started to get so flaky and waxy and the hair started to fall and ears so dry and peeling. Gave him antibiotic and fungus ointment everyday now, it's not flaky anymore but it's bold! Did anyone experience this before with their yorkie puppy? And what did you do can anyone pls give me any advice ?? P.s I shower him with special shampoo every week as the vet asked me to do so.

Hi, I think you mean "bald," which means patches without hair. This poster has asked for help before. Can anyone with experience with skin issues help them out? It sounds like the antifungal and antibiotic medications are helping with the flaky skin, but the hair is not growing back.

Bald @ Itchy I've had some experience with this. I suggest you change vets. If this is not possible demand skin scrape tests from several different places. Both bald and not. This could be a type of mange. While antibiotics, cream and steroids may seem to help it's only masking the bigger problem. A dermatologist would be even better if there is one close by. The person you got Peanut from is aware of this issue regardless of what they tell you. Probably a hereditary trait. Sorry but something similar happened to me but I already loved my baby so much. I spent a lot before I finally got an answer. Hope this helps. My baby is covered in new hair and doing great. Sometimes the hair follicles are so damaged the hair won't grow back. Act quickly please. I spent countless days and nights crying and frustrated because it seemed like we would never get an answer. A very wonderful kind person on this forum pointed me in the right direction and I didn't back down till I had a cure.
