I have a four-month old puppy, named Atlas. (I figured that since he walks around like a boss).
He seems to be aspirating/reflux? He gets all choked up. He will suddenly awaken and have these coughing fits. We are both terrified!!
Even as a younger puppy, he would hack whenever we picked him up, he'd have a dry cough.
It seems like we are not improving w/age.

Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can help him? How this will affect him?

So do you think it's a cough, or could it be a reverse sneeze? If I were you, I'd get it on video on your phone, and then show it to your vet.

I have a dog that has had a quick hacking cough since I got him and the vet told me acid reflux. This is how his cough sounds like. Like the chi in the video: Usually if they have acid reflux they also vomit too.
