| Jessies 6 week update from broken leg surgery We just came back. Shes a little groggy from the sedative and hopefully will take a nice long nap... Anyway the surgeon showed me her xrays...she is HEALING!! He said she was exactly where is wanted given the time frame since she needed bone grafts due to vet number one screwing up and putting a cast on her...I saw the new bone forming..One bonus was he told me when he did the surgery her ulna would never heal and most likely absorb. Well you should have seen how shocked he was when he said "I cant believe her ulna is almost totally healed..that rarely happens, especially when there is calcification... So good news we are on the right path, bad is he wants two more weeks (I expected that) but he said he wants her to walk on it a little. So rehab starts in two weeks and by summer she should be good as new. He did say her days of couch, bed, chair jumping are over..for good...she will always need to be careful but she can run around like any other dog...he just said the plate can make it so her upper leg is more susceptable to fracture in the future..he commended me on job well done...I told him Id everything but tape cotton batting to her feet and float her on air!! |

| You really DID do a great job! You should be congratulated and commended. I have been so impressed with how you have kept her as immobile as possible. I just don't know how you did it. I thought about you almost daily because I can't keep Mandie still for 2 seconds! You are an awesome Yorkie Mommy and Yorkie nurse! So happy to hear the update and that even her ulna is healing. Yay!!!

| Oh Jennifer, this is truly wonderful news! You have done a fantastic job keeping Jessie from undoing what the surgery did. I know it has been a very difficult time trying to keep your puppy calm. Especially when they have all this build in energy! So happy for you and for Jessie!! Congrats!!!
