| Ideas to fight boredom Tomorrow will be a week since Empanadas ACL/LP surgery. He trying to be more active, it's hard to keep him quiet. I think he is bored I bought him a kong and that kept him busy for all of 3 minutes, then screamed at it like saying forget you I'm not working this hard for snack. He doesn't like anything cold I tried ice chicken flavor ice cubes he hated that. He's already gained a pound so I'm trying to not just give him snacks to keep him entertained. He gets mad and bored easily I don't know how to keep him busy. Anyone have any suggestions?

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Will he chew on nylabones? When Pixie had hers, I would carry her to whatever room I was in and put her in a small animal xpen. But she is not a jumper at so I didn't have to worry she would try and get out. After a week I was able to put her sister in with her and that helped. It's hard to keep them quiet. I hope you can find something to ease his boredom.

| We are in the same boat. Today is week one, 5 more to go. I caed the surgeon and told them she is jumping around and even biting her crate. They gave me the go ahead to up her pain meds and continue her tranquilizer. I was hesitiant but they said the first couple weeks we want her sleeping pretty much all the time...they are calling me today to see if shes any calmer. I tried the kong (took her 10 minutes to eat the whole thing, even frozen) we cant give her much as she has a cone on for another week so she cant chew bones unless we hold them. She doesnt like toys, or nylabones anyway. If you figure out anything let me know..I freak every time she stands up and starts pacing. Im tired from watching her..I have four kids too! |
