Vomiting Hi all haven't posted in awhile. Jack has been vomiting all morning. He has been sleeping on and off Called the doc and he said keep him off food and water for about 5 to 6 hours. Then if the vomiting stops reintroduce water then wait til morning for the food he suggested white rice and hamburger.I was wondering if I could subsitute boiled chicken and rice or broth and rice. Jack has not had a problem with vomiting before however when he was a little pup he had quite a bit of diarrhea changed his diet to california natural lamb and rice. Its been great since then. Now the vomiting is a bit scary too. Jack is 13 pounds at 7 months. Jack and Mandy's Mom

| I would suggest that you use rice and chicken rather than hamburger. Boiled chicken is much easier on your little fellows tummy. Did you say he was 13 pounds? Is he a Silky?

Thankyou, i thought the same because hamburger has the grease in it. Nope Jack is a Yorkie. Many of us have big Yorkies on YT I could not believe that he could get so big. He is such a cuddle bug. Mandy is under 4 lbs So I have the best of both worlds. Thanks for the quick response Verena

I agree, chicken is easier on the little fellas tummy You can also try some pedialite, if he will drink it instead of water.

I always keep a couple cans of cooked chicken in my cupboard. It beats having to buy and cook chicken if you need it. Also - it's wonderful dog food (with rice or something) if you're in a pinch. Good luck - Hope your little dog gets better soon. Carol Jean
