My Adina is having surgery tomorrow... - YorkieTalk.com Forums

Please say a prayer for my sweet Adina. She is a timid little one (bad breeder situation 5 years ago and she is better but still timid) and it is going to kill me to leave her for surgery tomorrow.

She started limping off and on in October. The xray showed hip dysplasia. She did get relief from the Metacam for a while, but lately she was favoring one leg so my vet recommended an ortho evaluation.

She is having one hip done (FHO) and then the surgeon will follow her every six months after. The other hip is not quite as bad and I am just not wanting to put her through both at one time. He gave me the option of having them both done because he said it would save money.......that may be but I don't want her to hurt more than she has to. He said that she may never need the other one done. I hope not.

Adina is one of mine. I don't know what's up...the third one of my pups to have issues in the past six months. Hopefully this is the last one.

I don't know what time her surgery is. I will be dropping her off at 7:15AM

I will...I am sure she will be fine. Dr. Beale is awesome. I just feel sick for her...she is so afraid of people.

She never got over her past...she is better with people she knows, but strangers really upset her.

Poor little baby.

We will pray extra hard that God gives her peace around the strangers who are there to help her. She will be in good hands Linda. I know you will be glad to have it over with. Sometimes the wait is harder than anything.

I understand how you must feel leaving her tomorrow, if she is scared of strangers. It's too bad she has to go through that. I'll keep her in my prayers.
