Bubbles is coming home!!

HOWEVER....the vet was not too happy about the fact that her BUN level didn't come down as much as she would have liked since yesterday, and she now thinks Bubs might have permanent kidney damage. I'm going to have to learn to give her IV fluid treatments at home. For now, I'm just going to focus on the positive and we'll both take it one day at a time.

Yeah so gald that Bubbles is getting to come home. Giving the fluids at home is easy, that is if you have a dog that will let you do it.
Never say you are imposing. Prayers still continue for Sweet Bubbles.

That's awesome that Bubbles' BUN level is going down and she is home. Giving fluids is pretty easy. When we had to do it twice a day with our Brody he sure was a pistol! A lot of dogs others say are very compliant though. You just have to find what works to get their mind off of it. With Brody we would have a dab of peanut butter he would lick off of our hands and eventually it did get a lot easier. Continuing prayers from our family!

The vet thinks she ingested something she shouldn't have...we've been racking our brains to try to figure out what it could have been, but I don't think we'll ever figure it out.

She's doing MUCH better ... she had her best day yet today. Yesterday she was just mostly sleeping but today she's very awake and alert.

i'm so glad to read the good news about sweet bubbles! my mom's cat herbie had to have the fluid therapy daily at home too and she did great. (this was several years back when there was that huge pet food recall) that was about 6 years ago and herbie is a healthy happy kitty still to this day. i will definitely keep the prayers going for bubbles and please keep us updated when you can! yay so glad for the happy ending for you both! hugs!
