| How old is Trixie? How did this present, sudden or over a few days? Has she had anything like this in the past? Are those small bumps like a rash? could you get a close up of the bumps? Is she losing hair there?

| I don't know what it is, but it looks like it might need vet attention. It could be a skin infection.

| Trixie is 3 yrs old. Usually had dandruff and dry skin. She has been itching for a couple of days. I washed her and trimmed her today. She never had anything like this before. But it is quite itchy she keeps rubbing along the couch.

| I'd just go on to the dermatologist and skip the regular vet. Is the hair thinner where it looks lighter?

| I agree with Cathy. My little girl got secondary skin infections from allergies that looked like brown spots. Allergies are not unusual on Long Island. On course of Clavamox cleared it up, but it would return some of the time. I always knew what it was, but I had to go to the vet with her each time. I hope your little girl gets better. |

| This is how my Mini use to look allll the time with her allergies, and hers came on suddenly, it does look like a secondary infection which is usually what happens when they get a rash like this. Your vet will probably prescribe an antibiotic lie clavamox and possibly a steroid as it looks quite inflamed. I would give her a bath with some hypoallergenic shampoo and if you have given her benadryl before do so now. If she continues to get bouts like this ask your Vet about VARL testing. Poor baby I know how uncomfortable she is, it use to rule my Mini's life, I know your feeling anxious. Perhaps a call to your vet if they are not in today and ask about some temporary relief like the benadryl. Get her in tomorrow for sure, the secondary infection can take off like a rocket in no time and cover her whole body. Good Luck and please keep us posted.

| Poor little itchy girl. I know how that feels myself!! Yes, I agree, take her to a dermatologist. If it's an allergy then going back to square one and then take baby steps forward in order to find out what the allergy is from. Most times, it's some type of food. My girls are allergic to fish, poultry, and dairy and are on a vegan diet which cleared them up right away. I sure hope your baby munch gets some relief real soon. Sending big hugs for her.

| Aw thanks everyone. I will be sure to call the vet first thing in the morning. They are pretty good about getting them in quickly. She is sleeping now. She sleeps pretty good at night so I think she will be ok. I hate to give her any medication. I knew it wasn't anything contagious because my other 3 are fine. She must be allergic to something..hmmm... Now I must do some investigating. I will let you know what the vet says tomorrow. Thanks again!! Its funny because it is not on her belly or head or legs..only on her back.

| I have no idea, but I hope the vet can tell you by doing a skin scraping. Sending my best wishes.

| Quincy had something that looked like that on his tummy. He is allergic to something in my grass and from the itching it developed a staff infection. Vet gave him a shot, antibiotics and he is now on a regular allergy pill two times a day. But the itching has really subsided. Hope she gets well soon!
