| antibiotic Deucy had his dental today and he's not acting the same as last time. He can't make ANY sounds..and he tries to! The vet said there was a lot of bleeding and gave me DLINDAMYCIN HYDROCHLORIDE liquid. She said to give him 1 ML twice daily. Has anybody used this before on their toy yorkie? I'm just asking to see if anyone has used this...and if so, did their baby take it ok? He only weighs 5 lbs and I'm just on pins and needles. 1 ML seems like an awful lot to me. WAITING FOR RESPONSES. And, PLEASE ...please, don't tell me to just give it to him because the vet ordered it. I already KNOW that. Thank you.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I've def used this med for my kiddos, and I've never seen a bad side effect. Of course, every dog is different...but that's been my experience. I hope it goes fine and that your baby heals quickly.

| Yes I have used this before with one of mine. Never once have I had bad side effects. I do know it has awful taste to it. On the issue of trying to makes sounds and he can't it could be because of the tube that was in throat. I know one of mine did cough for a couple day's due to the tube.

| I spelled that med wrong. It is Clindamycin hydrochloride. Is this the same med. you gave your babies and they were fine with it? Deucy only weighs five pounds. Are your babies small too? He is 6 now. He's always ran around and played like crazy. But after today, he is still tired and I know his mouth as GOT to hurt. Was 1 ML twice a day the amount you gave to yours or do you remember? THANK YOU So much..waiting for your reply.

| YES, I wondered about the intubation. I just hate it when they intubate him. But the other time, he could make sounds and now this time, he can't. It SCARES ME TO DEATH. He just lies there on my pillow and if I try to pick him up he makes this awful muffled hurting sound. I've never heard him make that sound before. OK. I will go ahead and give him the med then. I still think 1 ML twice a day is quite a bit. Do you remember how much you gave yours? And they had no side effects...GREAT!!

| Thank you SO MUCH. Now, I feel fine giving it to him. But, I will have to wake him up to do so and then he'll try to tell me he hurts but can't. I sure hope they didn't damage his trachea. I take him to Kansas City to the vet that does Baker's (Deucy's son) dental cleaning. She's the only one I trust. I don't care if it does cost $230.00! I just hope he is back to being his happy, playful, barking self tomorrow.

| I said a prayer for Deucy so that he may heal quickly and in comfort & peace....also for you to have peace of mind while he is healing.
