| Does anyones dog had mri? or thoes symptomes..? Okay it all started few days ago my Lucky had trouble with walking so I took him to the vet first he said that he has something with his leg, and it`s nothing to worry about, but everyday was worse, so I took him to the different vet he said that he must do all exames blood etc. so I said lets do it, the result was very good he is healthy, but the vet said that he thinks the problem is something with his brain(but he can`t tell my what), and he want me to do it MRI head. I will do it, but I worry about my baby what`s wrong with him, now he doesn`t want to eat or drink I have to hold him and feed him , when he is walking lose balance and falls down all the time. Please let me know if anyone had this kind of problem. I hope my baby boy doesn`t have cancer

| If the vet is saying your baby needs an MRI then you should do it & I personally would want a spinal tap at the same time. There are a few diff things that it could but GME and Chiari are a couple of things that need immediate attention. |

| An MRI is a detailed , very very detailed, Xray kind of , of the brain. If the recommended it , you should do it as it will show any deformities if any, but also will show nothing if nothing ! and you will be at easy ! XOXO

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | If I am going to the expense of an MRI, and judging by a) your pups symptoms and b) the vet did suggest one; then I would be going/asking for a referral to a neurologist a specialist that is highly trained in the examination and reading of this type of diagnostic tool. If this vet is a board certified neurologist (well and good), if not ask for a referral to same. I'm so sorry that your pup is experiencing these symptoms. Please keep us updated.

| GME............. Isabella GME Research Fund Necrotizing leukoencephalitis In Yorkshire Terriers there can be severe mononuclear inflammation of the brainstem and periventricular cerebral white matter. Because the condition in this breed frequently affects only the white matter, it has been called necrotizing leukoencephalitis. Symptoms of brainstem and central vestibular disease predominate.[10] Also commonly called Granulomatous meningoencephalitis, Granulomatous meningoencephalitis - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia I just pray your baby does not have this....

| As someone else suggested, you should ask for a referral to a board certified neurologist and let him/her do the MRI or other necessary for a diagnosis. Anyone can guess at what it could be, but keep in mind that it takes an educated vet to examine your pup and do the appropriate testing to come up with a definitive diagnosis. My suggestion is to get a diagnosis FIRST before proceeding with other groups that are specific for one diagnosis. It may not be one of the things suggested...and if it is one of them, then you have the information. If your vet does not know one, you can do a look up at: http://www.acvim.org I will keep your pup in my thoughts and prayers.
