| Betty boop is sick Betty Boop got sick yesterday morning. She has had this before. She pooped some blood in a fairly normal stool, only a little loose. Then she started vomiting. Took her to the vet. Since she has had this before the vet suspects, again, that she ate something she shouldn't have, and this is possible. He put her on a combination of Amoxicillin that came with something else in it, Reglan and Pepto Bismol. We went to bed last night at 10 and she hasn't moved but once to get up to pee. This is unusual for her to be so still. She is really passing some stinky gas. How long should I let this go today? I am such a worrier. I thought that if she wasn't acting better by mid-afternoon, I would at least call the vet. He didn't do any bloodwork. She had her 2 year wellness checkup last week and blood was OK. In the past, she has always sprung back very fast. Should I give her yogurt today? Is yogurt bland enough? What kind is recommended? She is scarfing down chicken and not throwing it back up. So this is a good sign. Her intestines are agitated and was wondering if yogurt would help. Thanks!

| Sorry, I don't have any advice but just wanted to say I hope she perks up later this morning. She might just be worn out from not feeling well. Give her a hug from me & Princess, please.

| Probiotics work better and faster than yogurt... check with your vet though bc in some instances they should not be used.... Hope she feels better soon.... I'd report anything unusual she does as soon as the vet opens...

| That would be a good question for her vet. My vet would probably tell you no, there is no use in giving the probiotics in yogurt for an intestinal issue, and because it is dairy, it is possible that she would be able to handle it. However, probiotics pills might be an option for long-term use. That said, we don't use them here. I just find that with the conflicting information, that money is better spent elsewhere. I'm sorry about your girl. How often does this happen?
