| PLEASE HELP! Panting, shaking, vomitting Baby Chan is shaking, breathing hard and seems to be in pain. She threw up a lot and is still dry heaving sometimes. I am worried sick. The vet opens at 8:30 a.m. and it is 4 a.m. now. I am trying to wait it out and take her to vet rather than hospital because I can not afford hospital! I am so scared. She recently got fixed and had 15 baby teeth removed! Oh god what is happening ???? |

| Are her gums still pink and moist, or pale and sticky? What day was her spay? Was she sent home with pain meds?

| Was the spay about a week ago? She is definitely in pain. Sending prayers for your little girl. I hope you are off to the ER now.

Yes it was about a week ago. Have you heard of these symptoms in this time frame? I did take her to the hospital. They have her now and I am waiting here at home. They took x-rays and said that there are bones or mineral in her colon and that maybe why she crying so much, shaking, panting etc... I fee Stella and Chewy which does grind bones but... Have never heard of this happening! | |

| How is Chan doing this evening? Yes, raw diets can cause bone fragments to collect in the colon. Then defecation becomes difficult and painful. I don't know what is wrong with your pup, but that is definitely a "side effect" of the raw diet. That is one of the reasons that many of us have opted to skip it.

| Yes, I certainly will. Two different vets say they think it is something from her food and bone being the most likely thing. Baby Chan is with us constantly and is never outside by herself! It's got to be something in the food. Also I used to always give the lamb but recently I switched to the Surf n Turf which is fish and beef. And now this! |

| She is doing better. They didn't give her any pain meds and she is no longer wimpering and moaning. She ate some food at the vet's and will be coming home soon. I will give you all the final update after I speak to the vet. Thank you |
