| Bad week :( It all started last Wednesday morning when we noticed Lily's eyes where watery. We thought we would have my dad keep an eye on her as we were leaving to visit family in WI. We got a call from my dad Thursday morning that he found Lily laying lethargic on the floor. He took her to the vet and they said she had low glucose and said to give her Karo syrup. Her eyelashes are also rubbing on her eyes making them watery. She also has fleas. So he took her home and updated us through the week saying she was eating, drinking, and playing fine. We came home on Tuesday and she seemed fine. She was eating and drinking normally. Took her back to the vet Wednesday and he gave us eyedrops, a pill for the fleas, and some other kind of medicine for parasites. Today she would not eat and just layed around sleeping all day. We took her to a different vet at 10:30 tonight and her glucose was 29 (should be 100) and her temperature was so low it would not register. They are having to keep her over night in an incubator to get her temp up. They said they were going to do a parvo test and would call us if it was positive but it has been about an hour and still no call so thats good. I am so worried about her and I miss her so much already. We are hoping to pick her up around noon tomorrow (today now).

| I just want to say if it is parvo, be prepared to spend lots of money if you want to even possibly save her. She will need IV fluids, antibiotics and lots of love and care. We recently had our puppy Noah spend 11 days in the hospital, and 6500.00 to save him from parvo. Part of that time we were out of town, as we had nonrefundable hotel and airfare. I sat for 4 days with him in my shirt, skin to skin and hand feeding him baby food from a jar! He even had a blood transfusion because He went septic. When he finally came home he was on on 4 antibiotics, probiotics, anti nausea medicines as well as panacur. His blood sugar wouldn't stabilize and the vets were to the point of having "the talk" with me about putting him down. It's a long process, and one I would repeat in a heartbeat, but I so wish we had never had to go through that nightmare! I am scared to bring a small puppy home. That stuff never goes away-even if you clean your house, bleach everything including your yard, it doesn't keep people from bringing it back in on their shoes and clothes or other dogs from reinfecting the yard.

| I am sorry for your loss. It is so hard to lose a very much loved furry child. ... I am wondering why the vets didn't give her a worm check, especiallly for coccidia. |
