| Please help My Yorkies( Bum) is bothering her I just got my baby 2 months ago and since Ive never had a dog before I really am not sure about alot of things.. I have been noticeing she slides her bum across the floor alot so I checked her and notice a small bubble on her rectum should I be worried about her anal glands? do Yorkies need them checked often? Im very lost here what should I do?? Plz help |

| I would go to the vet to have it done if she has a bubble like thing. Anal glands can rupture and/or become infected or impacted.

| Hi and Welcome to YT! I agree with the other posts, a vet visit would be best. Sometimes minor infections can occur that cause the problem and your pup may need to be on antibiotics to clear the infection. Sometimes adding fiber to the pup's diet can also help the body to naturally express the anal glands... maybe ask your vet about if this would be an option for your pup. Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Def take her to the vet to see what this is. It may be as simple as the anal glands. If it is the glands, it may help to try changing her diet. For some dogs, their glands get irritated and fill up due to whatever ingredients irritating the digestion process.
