I need some help Kaylee started throwing up tonight she has had loose stool today but I thought it was just something she ate...but now she is throwing up ..the vet isn't open till 8am and we did talk to a vet who said to bring her in the morning ..we are giving her ice chips to get water into her...any advice on what to do would be appriciated?

If she's been vomiting I would take her to the ER tonight as these babies can dehydrate quickly and this can be life threatening. Also can you get some pedialyte to give her instead of water as she needs electrolytes for the dehydration.

You will need to wait a bit after she throws up before offering her water or ice, if given too soon it will just make her throw up more.

It would be wise to have a vet look at her. Pancreatitis comes to mind for one, if that's the case, she shouldn't have anything by mouth.

If she got into something or ate food that is too rich, it could make her sick, and the vet is the only way to determine how serious this could be.

ok will take her in ...she did get up and took a long drink of water. and she hasn't thrown up or anything in the last 2 hrs. so I'm feeling better. will let you know what the vet says thanks for the help.

Hi everyone,
thanks for all the prayers and advice and for checking on Kaylee...she saw the vet who said it was probably just an upset tummy...he did give her two meds to take twice a day (can't think of the names now) but I will check if anyone wants to know.. and today she has acted like her old self and has had my hubby throwing the ball all evening...I am so thankful that she is ok I was sooo worried...I don't know what I would do if anything happened to her...she is such a driving force in my day and brings us so much joy..
