| Are you sure that isnt for mites that are on their skin. I thought for ear mites you had to get a medicine that goes in the ears?

| Ear Mites My little girl just got over having ear mites too. The vet gave her a treatment of Revolution and also some ear drops that I had to give her twice a day for ten days. She will also have to have one more treatment of Revolution 30 days after the first treatment. She is doing great now. It took about a week before she stopped scratching her ears! I suspected mites before bringing her to the vet the first time. He checked her out and said she didn't have any but she kept scratching and digging at her ears for another week! When I brought her to the vet the second time, he could see the mites and gave her the treatments. |

| does it look kind of scabby.... Gizmo has some scabby brown stuff he keeps scratching off on the side of his left ear. I noticed it after his groomer's visit today, could it be that? You touch it and he whines,it's not a cut or scab. |

| Revolution works on ear mites. TJ had them too. He was on Rev. for 3 or 4 months and had several ear flushes at the vets. After that, they were finally gone and now he on K9 Advantix for ticks and fleas. If one puppy comes with ear mites, most likely all the puppies will have them. Ear mites usually (according to my vet) dont get transferred from dog to dog unless the dogs lay together a LOT (like puppies). Not really sure how they get them in the first place, might be from the mom. |

| It could be ear mites and he has scratched his ears because its itchy and he has a scab. If hes itching his ears I bet its mites. You can get medicine for it at petco and petsmart.
