| Need some ideas I gave my little yorkie boy a new bone that was made out chicken. Well the next day he was very loose stools (like water) and he was up all night crying, either to go to the bathroom or probably didn't feel good. Does anyone know how to stop the loose stools? |

| peptobismal 1 teaspoon 2 times a day. Or childerns kaopecktate same way.Your little baby won't like it though. Or you can biol some rice and mix some food with the broth and give it to your baby, I use pepto myself keep a bottle just for my babies. Good luck. Make sure your babies eating well too. Sugar drops can happen in yorkies at any age. I keep Karo syrup around just incase. Just rub some on the gums if they start in to a sugar drop. I hope this helps..

| thanks i will try the pumpkin. I don't think he will go for the other. I give me Kayro every so oftern. I just hate when he feels bad. He gets this sad look on his face. I will also try some rice too. He is still drinking water so that is good and his gums are not dry yet. |

| Sick pup I had a sick pup recently and she did not want solid food. It is good he is drinking water, but if he goes off that, to keep him hydrated, I put very small pieces of boiled chicken and a little rice into boiling water, let it cool and he lapped it up - including rice/chicken too. No ill effects! Hope your little one feels better soon. It is so painful for us mom's to see the little babes sick and their sad faces. |

| diarrhea My baby has the same problem. He just doesn't like some treats. When I give him too much, he has diarrhea. Or when he goes to the yard and eat snail/worm/etc. he gets diarrhea. I go to PetSmart and buy over the counter diarrhea medicine, worked pretty well. I tried Pepto Bismo before but was told that it is not good for dogs. Anyway, I bought dog probiotics from PetSmart and fed to him everyday for 3 weeks now. It comes in a capsule and I just open up and sprinkle on his food, no taste at all. He stopped having stomach/diarrhea problems and his stool has been very healthy and consistent lately (color, firmness). |

| Mocha WTG Mocha! Perhaps all dog food should have probiotics in them, it might prevent a lot of problems! |

| Is there any chance he chewed off a piece of that bone ? of so he could have it lodged somewhere in his intestine or it could have cut his intestines . I would take him to the vet to rule this out ASAP. |

| Pumpkin is used for both but I have found that Fuji apples works better for the runs. It's the pectin in it that does the job. |

| Thank you for the info. When the vet told me about the pumkin I had brought in a 4 week old puppy too young I felt to give pepto etc to. he told me to use pumkin for her consipation so now I know what to get for the other. Thanks so much. I hope this brand of apple is not hard to find. I will look for it in the stores as I shop. Thanks again. I have to say I would never thought to give an apple for this.
