hi i have a 6 month old yorkie he has throwed up 4 times today two was dog food and the other two was just yellow what can i do or give him i took his food away i dont if that is a good idea or not please help my baby

I would take him to the vet, a 6 month old pup can be fragile.

Yes i called the vets waiting for them to call me back he acts fine running around and everything

I always recommend that people develop a good phone relationship with their vet and his staff. A vet will ask you pertinent questions such as "When was the last bowel movement?" That will tell him how serious this is and if the dog needs to be seen immediately. For example, vomiting along with constipation may indicate an obstruction and this can be deadly. Is it possible that your dog swallowed something such as a rawhide that caused an obstruction? Also dogs at this age seem to swallow everything they find, and some of those things while not serious can cause vomiting. Your vet will also ask you what food you are feeding, and has anyone given him anything else, changes in diet can cause vomiting. Your vet will recommend what you should do, perhaps giving a bland food, or perhaps giving medicine such as Pepcid. He will also tell you what to look for in terms of seriousness. A couple of vomiting episodes aren't particularly alarming; four means you should call the vet. Remember, they can dehydrate very easily at this age. Best of luck, and please keep us updated.
