| Any advice regarding Proin I was wondering if any one had advice regarding the use of Proin for long term use. My vet just perscribed Proin for bladder weakness and also told me it would probably be for life. Has anyone found this to work but didn't have to use it for life? She's only 16 months old, I'd hate to have her be on meds for the rest of her life. Tami <>< |

| did your vet rule out uti before giving this drug long term by doing a urinalysis? I think they need to make sure that is what it is before just going to drugs without knowing what is really going on with your dog __________________ Yes, he thinksshe has a UTI he gave her an antibotic too. When she was a puppy she had many test done because she peed in her sleep. With her it was a puppy thing and she out grew it after about 7 months. She started doing it again after I had her spayed. <>< |

| My girl Maya is on it and has been since she was a puppy. She was getting a lot of uti and after some test including an ultrasound my vet said that Maya's bladder leaked urine. So the medication helps stop the leaking which in turn has prevented her from any more infections. She is now 2 and takes it twice a day and will have to stay on it for the rest of her life.

| My Maya is the sweetest baby . She was gentle and loving before she took the meds and no change at all in her personality. She has been on it for 2 years now. She takes the liquid form of PPA and takes 0.2ml twice a day.
