| I'm so sorry you and your baby are going through this. No experience with this myself but every dog I've seen with an amputation didn't seem to be a ware that they were missing a leg, got around as well as a dog with four. I did find this article that looked like it had a lot of good information on aftercare. Good luck to you both. How to Care for a Dog After Amputation Surgery |

| Our prayers for your Baby and you. I had a beagle once who lost a hind leg. Up and back on the rabbit trail in no time, never acted like he noticed. Been a long time and I still miss that old hound. All the best, please keep us posted. |

| Your Little Furbaby will be just fine..... Quote:
Your vet will inform you about care of your little furbaby. I know you feel bad right now but things will work out. My father years ago brought home a collie that only had three legs. He had been hit by a car. Glaze didn't even know he only had three legs. You'll be surprised on how well your furbaby will adjust. Pet's are amazing and they don't really realize if they are handicapped. I'll keep you and your little furbaby in my prayers for a successful surgery and recovery. Kathleen | |

| My little Chase had his left foreleg amputated last May. If you want to talk, PM me and leave your phone # or else I could give you mine. It is traumatic, both for your baby and for you , but you will both adapt. Best wishes and prayers for a successful surgery. Jim

| So sorry to hear this news. I use to be a vet tech (before kids...) I can assure you that things will turn out just fine. They can live perfectly happy lives with only 3 legs. Best Wishes. |
