| Jackson wanted to show everybody how much better he is on his leg already. He was way too concerned with burying his bone to filmed though.

Now my question... how in the WORLD am I going to keep Jackson "down" for 7 days? He's already jumped off my bed three times! Yikes! I'm trying hard but every time I turn my head... he's doing something he's not supposed to ("running" through the house, getting on/off furniture). Luckily, he's relaxing right now chewing a bully stick.

| Yep, bully sticks to the rescue...you might have to gate yourselves in your room for more time than you planned Why does he have to be still, anyway? |

| Well, she didn't say he had to be 'still' per say... just to restrict his movement more than usual and for 1 week only go outside to potty, no running around, rough housing or anything. I guess just to give his leg a rest.

| So glad he's better, he must be wondering why you were following him when he was burying his treasure, George always rehides it if I'm watching, it will be interesting to know how you keep him "still" for a week . Anyway excellent news I love keeping up with his exploits .

| I just did a Happy Dance for Jackson! After more thought: (scary) He more than likely built up antibodies against Lymes by having the disease, so vaccinating him wouldn't be necessary. You could do a titer instead. I have heard alot of flaky stuff going on with Lymes, like a lot of false positives when pets/people are tested, and vaccines that really don't provide the protection they were developed for. Jackson's turn around is truly amazing! I can't stop thinking about it. I wouldn't worry about his weight loss at this point, but do keep an eye on it, maybe weekly would be good. I'm sure as soon as his activity level picks up, so will his appetite. He doesn't look thin, and from his videos he looks very fit and healthy. Good job Mommy.

| Yay! Jackson looks like he's feeling so much better! Can you get him some stairs so he doesn't jump? They have them at CVS or Wahlgreens for like $10.00. It won't be too difficult to keep him still for the next few days though...it's a little bit chilly to be going outside!!! brrrrrr. Now it's really surpising about how different vets treat their patients, our vet recommended the lyme vaccine. We've not had any probles with it.

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | Welcome to my world! Eddie's on restricted activity for 6 months! I'm not sure what the vet told you but if you really need to restrict activity, you might consider setting up an xpen in the house. Eddie's not even supposed to walk on wood floors, so I have a foam pad and sleeping bag in the xpen. He's gotten to the point that he likes it in there.
