| Weird Injury hey all, so little cuj isnt so little anymore, hes a whopping 8 months old now. little guy had an awkward jump off a couch last week and for about 5 min after he was keeping his leg lifted but would still run around likes hes fine. same thing has happened twice this week and it has me a little worried. im taking him by the vet tomorrow...any ideas whats wrong? |

| sounds like luxating patella and the patella is popping out so he holds it up then when it gets back in place he walks on it - another thing is acl injury |

| I try to prevent this type of injury by lifting my dogs on or off the bed/couch. They know to bark when they want down, if the steps aren't in place.

| again it does sound like LP to me. i would go see a vet about this, it could get more serious and as a rule of thumb, a dog should never jump off any surface that it cannot initially jump up onto the begin with. jumping off things that are too high like a bed or couch can cause LP to show up and happen more frequently than dogs that don't jump off high surfaces. |
