PLEASE HELP!!!!   Hello all, I'm sure most of you haven't heard, but my Mother-In-Law was in a terrible accident on Friday 9/4. She was driving through Williamstown MA and she hit a tree which flipped her car over. Her 4.7lb Yorkie was in the car with her (she NEVER goes anywhere without her) and as my MIL was trapped in the car, her little baby jumped out and took off. She was running away from the scene wearing a teal blue collar with white polka dots on it, and a baby blue leash was attached (on long trips my MIL stops frequently to let her go to the bathroom). She has tags, but aren't on her collar. The area the accident happened is VERY heavily wooded and has an abundance of wildlife (bear, deer, Coyotes, and from what one woman said even, mtn lion/bobcats). My Fiance, Myself, My Fiance's Cousin, Her husband, our friend and my Fiance's Aunt have all been going down to Williamstown everyday. We have all been walking through the woods, calling to her, making burgers on a table top grill hoping the smell would draw her to us, talking to all the neighborhood people, talking to the the Williamstown P.D. (we have asked for the use of "blue" their Search & Rescue dog more than once but they have said he is only trained to track human scents), there are now well over 100 signs posted from Pownal VT to Pittsfield MA. We have checked side roads, I have been in brush that is litterally up to my eyeballs. We cannot find her ANY WHERE!! There has been an article in the Bennington Banner, The N. Adams Transcript, and today there is an article in the Berkshire Eagle. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE If anyone has seen/heard anything at all contact us. It is now day 5 and we still can't find her. Our number is 860-637-0373 Thank You, Sheina

We still haven't found her.... Hello all, First of all I want to thank you for all of your kind words and warm wishes. Leslie has been on the front page of 3 different newspapers for days now, she has been listed in the western Mass, Worchester Mass, Albany NY (Rt 2 is the turn before the accident and it goes to Albany NY), Connecticut Craigslist areas and its been reposted everyday, there are lost dog flyers up from Pownal VT all the way to Pittsfield MA, she is listed on petfinder.com, fidofinder.com, there are now flyers up in Troy/Albany NY. All of the Vets offices that we can think of have been notified, all the shelters have been notified, Police Departments, etc. We are offering a substantial reward for her safe return!!! My fiance is down in that area as we speak, she is looking for her. Please keep her in your prayers.. We want to find her and bring her home where she belongs, safe with her mommy. My MIL is doing okay, she is still sore and the other day she was up at the hospital again, they were doing more tests on her to make sure there was no internal bleeding. All in all she is doing physically okay, but she is heartbroken and VERY upset about her little baby.

Happy ending to a heartbreaking story!!!!! I had to stay home with our daughter because we couldn't find a babysitter, and it wouldn't have been safe for her on that busy road, or those woods. So we had been communicating throughout the day with text messaging. Here's the story!!!!! We are so happy that god granted us not one but TWO miracles!!!! Thank You everyone who said prayers and kept little Leslie in their thoughts!!!! Almost a week without ANY sightings and we got a call while in Mass looking for Leslie today, a woman spotted her right across the street from the accident. My Fiance (Maizie) was literally less than 300 ft from her when she was spotted.. She still had the leash on her too!!! The nice woman (who got the reward $) showed her both spots she saw her at, the last spot was less than 5 mins before Leslie showed back up there (went to the 5 corners store to get nice smelly canned dog food, the guy was going to give me the can of food and said "go get your dog" but Maizie thanked him and left the $ on the counter and flew back there) she showed Maizie where she ran and less then 10 mins later Maizie had Leslie in her arms. I got a text saying to come down, so I put our daughter in the car, got my VERY sore Mother-In-Law in the car and off we went! On the way down my MIL started crying, I was crying, and our daughter was SOOOO excited that Leslie was coming home!! It was SUCH a relief and it has been the most amazing day today!! It was a feeling Maizie said she will NEVER forget holding her, kissing her, getting licks on the face from her telling her shes such a goooood dogggggg!!!! Maizie said that telling her mom on the phone "Mom I have Leslie!!!!!!!!!" is a feeling she will never forget! When I pulled up I was crying because I was so happy!!! To see that little face SAFE in someones arms... It was the most wonderful feeling I have every felt. We were worried sick about poor Leslie out there, every night when we would come home we would cry.. We were dreaming about her, she was all we thought about and now she is home safe with my Mother-In-Law where she belongs!!! Maizie and I went to the pet store tonight and got her a new special toy, some dog treats, and 2 new outfits because we are so thankful and happy to have her home!!!!! Shes only a little thinner so she was finding food somewhere!!! No cuts, no limping, just a little smelly and messy fur w/ a few burdocks!!! We want to thank everyone who helped, gave suggestions and told us not to give up hope!!!!!! THANK YOU EVERYONE AND THE GOOD LORD ABOVE!!!!! Who would of thought a 5lb little yorkie could survive that long w/ bear, fishercats & coyotes all around?!?!?! THANK YOU ALL!!!!!!!!! Here's Leslie right after I got her wrapped up in a baby blanket and a towel in my mother-In-Laws arms where she belongs!!!! http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k4...y/DSC08358.jpg

Thank you for the WONDERFUL NEWS If I may suggest to you and your MIL and to all that are reading this story. PLEASE spend a little money and invest in a Doggie Car Seat. They are so worth every penny. They save your pets life from either being hurt, killed or lost if a car accident Best Wishes
