Hmm.. I also saw the recipe online for the diet. I wonder if this is something I should hold off on trying until after the surgery? I am nervous to try anything new or different from what the drs have advised me since she has not had her surgery yet.

She has been doing much better at eating! I did have to syringe feed her last night b/c she was just too tired to eat lol But other than that, she has been doing wonderful.

She and her mom & dad loved her so much, i had to try everything. All things went well till she was 11 wks old, and she had a relapse of same LS. Vet said she wouldn't make it and did i want to put lots of $$ into her when it may not help. Well i knew we had to make a decision so i brought her home, with 2-3 different meds including one that made her hungry, and began hand feeding her again for 2 weeks. She did fantastic. Niece and parents have her...now she's 6 months old and doing great. We treat her as if she is a special needs child and she has not been back to the vet for any medical issue except shots, etc. So keep up the good work! Our miracle is georgeous...look...
I am so glad that she made a recovery and can hopefully live a long and healthy life!

Pictures... just b/c I can.

She was napping and so I got a couple of pictures on my cell phone. She woke up and then went back to sleep lol

The last picture is of her on my purse... which she chewed on the strap and its VERY visible and so I will no longer be using it. DH got that for me as a gift and I had only used it less than 2 weeks! But it was my fault b/c I left it on the floor. I have learned my lesson! But how could anyone EVER punish a face like THIS?

Ahhhhhh...I finally had time and felt like catching up. She is a little doll and she looks sooooo much healthier now!

She also looks like she is going to be a character...into mischief and then giving you such an innocent "Who, me?" look...just like Taffy...LOL

She's just a little miracle child and she's precious.

Default Update

Yay- she turned 13 weeks old yesterday.

Ginger has been doing well and eating on her own. She has been eating the RC kibble plain and she gets the Hills LD as a "treat" every evening (can you
believe it? She is loving it now!). I just microwave a tiny bit for a few seconds and she goes crazy for it! She has gained about 3oz since she has been home in the past (almost) 2 weeks! She is now up to 2lb. 3 1/2 oz. She is a very active and lively puppy. I have only had to syringe feed at night when she is too tired to eat (who wouldn't be?) but she actually enjoys the syringe feeding! lol I have attached some pictures after one of her feedings... she wanted more! haha Wow, I just can't believe how far she has come.... now we are just working on potty training! Which... Debbie (dwerten), I wanted to let you know that I have been using those lil toddler treats (freeze dried strawberry and banana bites) as potty treats and for training and she loves them... what a great idea!

She runs around the house jumping and wanting to play with our other babies and she is just your typical puppy. She loves to play with Dozer's tail and to sleep and cuddle with Max.

She got her 2nd booster shot today and I have seen absolutely no side effects whatsoever.

Thank you all for your prayers and support. I just can't believe how well she is doing. I have a really good feeling that my baby is going to be ok!
