| Puppy loosing hair? Is it normal for a puppies hair to fall out when it starts to change to silver? It seems to be getting thinner and when brushing her the brush gets full quickly. |

♥ Catherine My Love ♥ Donating Member | Losing hair is not a normal part of a yorkie's coat transition. Are there any other symptoms other than losing hair? Is the hair loss all over or specific to certain areas?

| It is just on her back at her stomach area. She has chronic hypoglycemia and iron deficiency. |

♥ Catherine My Love ♥ Donating Member | Chronic low iron can cause hair loss. Has your vet put your baby on a supplement?

♥ Catherine My Love ♥ Donating Member | The iron could be the cause or a number of other things, both internal and external. I would speak to your vet. When I went through hair loss with Baron, it was a fungal infection. But, there are loads of possibilities, including allergies and genetics.

♥ Catherine My Love ♥ Donating Member | Recent antibiotics reay makes me think fungus. You know how you can get a yeast infection while on antibiotics and babies on antibiotics can get thrush? It's the same thing. The antibiotics kill bad bacteria and the ones that your body needs. Perfect breeding ground for fungus!
