6 week old puppy

I have a six week old puppy, who I am started weaning last week, momma has also started weaning. She shakes sometimes like she is cold, I am aware of the hypoglycemia and I don't believe that is the problem, the other thing that started about a week and half ago is her nose is very congested again, I can really only hear it when she eats, food and milk comes out of her nose sometimes. She is not gaining weight but in maintaining her current wait.

Not sure if this is the right place to post but I am SO WORRIED about her. I am going to call and see if I can change her vet appointment from the 24th to one day this week.

I'd get her to the vet ASAP as these little ones can turn very quickly. Please, keep us posted. So sorry your baby's not doing well.

We just got back from the vet and received good news and a possibility of good news. Lady has a upper respitory type infection, her lungs actually sound clear but while we were there she sneezed and it flew (snots) out on my arm so they were able to just look at that and not even have to look in her nose. I had him double check to make sure there was no cleft palate and NOPE, there is NOT!!!!

The other news we received is that sometimes the luxating patella can fix itself, which I had also read on here, he showed me some therapy to do and I take her back in two days. This does kind of bum me out because I checked with a physical therapist right after she was diagnosed and they told me it wouldn't work but he seems VERY optimistic and he suggested that IF surgery is need it would not be until she is older and only one surgery.

I am a VERY, VERY happy mommy.

We lost lady tonight. She fought very hard, but so a little thing was not able to beat aspiration penumonia and congestive heart failure.

We will miss her terribly but she has her wings and as we know all dogs go to heaven.

I am so sorry to hear about Lady. You are right though, all dogs go to heaven, and she is up there healthy and happy with no worries. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. RIP Lady

I'm so sorry. My mom is in heaven, too, and she loved dogs. Maybe your Lady is with my mom right now!

I want to thank you all for your warm thoughts and prayers. It's funny how such a small thing can bring such joy and love in such a short period of time and when they leave there is such a huge whole left behind.

I know she is healthy and happy and playing right now and that is what I will need to focus on.

i'm so sorry for your loss, it's amazing how fast such small things can come into our worlds and change them forever. i don't know what i would do without Sadie, she's becoming so much a part of me and i love her so much.
