| Bump on neck. About an hour ago I noticed that Ben had a small bump on his neck.... a small one. Upon closer inspection, it seems to be slightly irritated, and its on the skin. He doesn't complain about it but he does show some discomfort when I touch it. I don't think it's a tick, as I recently used Frontline on him a couple of days ago, and plus I don't see legs poking out or anything.... He's been playing in the grass for 3 days straight now, and he's a small guy so I can always feel him all over.... I didn't notice anything this afternoon, so I really don't know what it is. A bug bite, (like a spider or something like that?) or God forbid something worse? I thought about allergic reactions to vaccines but he hasn't gotten one in a while so that's out of the question.... maybe an allergic reaction to Frontline? (never happened before.) I have plans to take him to the ER vet so we'll see what happens.... |

| I know exactly how you feel. They really are like our children. A part of the family. They are our buddies. Can't get enough of them. They really do become our whole life. I miss them even when I go to the store or something. They are always here to greet me with those little butts going back and forth so cute!! Just love them toooooo much. I'm sure he will be fine. Could be a little bite or something. These little boogers get into everything so quickly. Really could be anything. I definatly would have it checked out. I'm sure the vet will know what is is right away. Good luck!! Give him some puppy kisses from Coco, Pebbles and Trixie.

| Well, I just got back from the vet, and thankfully everything is ok for now. She said it's probably a bug bite, and to monitor it to see if it changes.... I'm soooooo happy he went there just to check it out (even though I just dropped $130 for 5 minutes......but that means nothing because my dog is my life!) It's really funny because he knows when he's at the vet and his attitude completely changes and he gets all timid and stuff lol. He was such a good boy and everyone loves this guy. Thanks for your prayers! |

| Well I'm glad you at least know what it is. I know how expensive it could be. It's insane. I tell my kids to be a vet that's good money boy!!! How is your baby today? Hopeing he is doing better and it goes away soon.

| He's still normal I guess... the bump is still the same size, and I have to wait approx. 2 weeks until it supposedly goes away... I guess time will tell. In the meantime, we're gonna go chill in the park for a while and enjoy this beautiful day! (Being an at-home graphic designer sure has it's perks when owning a doggy.) |

my dog has something similar on her left thigh (back leg); i took her to the vet yesterday and they saw her really quick; they said it's not tick bite but some kind of bug or insect bite; so they told me to give her benadryl; i dont think it hurts because when i press down she doesnt seem to be in pain; it's not itching because i dont see her biting or itching it ; if it was mosquito bite she will itch it; i am concerned because it's red and it's raised like there is something under the surface. does anyone have any insight? thanks
