Senior Yorkie Talker | ![]() my daughter has a 3 lb furbaby that is acting very strange it won't lay down to sleep and seems to have a problem with his rectum or tummy..she likes to chew on sticks and sneaks to do it..could she possibly have a stick stuck in her intestins? I just talked to my daughter and told her to get to an emergency clinic.....Any other suggestions..i don't know how far a clinic is from her ..The furbaby is also making strange noises also..i am not close to where she lives and feel so helpless..PLEASE give me some advice |

| ![]() I believe you have given her the best advise. I would take her to the emergency vet.

Senior Yorkie Talker | ![]() the vet seems to think it is a ruptured disk..he gave her some pain medication and said to keep him quiet for 3 weeks..a little hard to do don't you think? does anyone have any suggestions on what we should do next..they didn't do an x-ray and seem to think it was in the lower back area but my daughter says it seems to be most sensative in her upper shoulder or lower neck area..she said if you touch him there he tries to nip at you...I am wondering if she needs to go to a different vet! ![]() |

| ![]() She needs to have x-rays taken on her pup, and a possable visit to the Chiropractor (but Never without X-Rays)And does the vet think the disc is ruptured or sliped ? Last edited by lillymae; 06-27-2009 at 12:14 AM. |
