| Tongues are very vascular and will bleed a lot so I am sure it looks much work than it really seems. Take a deep breath and do like they do with kids when they bite a their tongue and give his a little ice to see if that helps. If he continues to bleed a lot I would take him into the vet to be seen. Poor baby.

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | i agree. tongues bleed alot so its probably not as bad as you think. give him some ice and just calm him down. if your stressing over him its going to make him stressed which will only increase the bleeding.

| Thank you so much...he loves ice...when I go to crush the ice on the outside of the fridge, he goes NUTS wanting a little piece....he thinks it's a treat So I have him licking on a large piece right now....just licking....and it seems to be doing the trick. I just freak when I smell his blood, as I have clipped his toe nail too closely one time.... He's my baby..rotten as could be.......and I think I love him more than my husband |

| Yes, thanks for all of your help! The ice definately helped the blood slow...bless his little heart...he had blood coming out of his mouth and I freaked out! He starting licking his little feet and chest, so he had blood all over him! My daughter said "OMG mom! What did you do to him?!" Which made me feel even lower than pond scum. So, I let him lick the ice, and then I gave him a bath, and he's laying right here in my lap, all warm and snuggly, with his little nose buried inside my elbow. Thanks for everything. You guys are fantastic! |
