| could be a few things- could be kennel cough- which to me sounds like your dog is trying to hack something up- kinda like a goose honk. could be reverse sneezing- which if you were to blow in his nose should stop the noise.... if it is kennel cough- he needs to see a vet and be put on antibiotics. hopefully someone else can come and help |

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Kennel cough ...is a hacking cough ending with a gag at the end. If you place two fingers on her throat...does she cough? That's an indication of kennel cough. An upper respiratory infection usually does result in the gag at the end. It's a cough w/ congestion. You can use a warm mist vaporizer w/ vick's to help with congestion. Taking Dhewy into a steam filled bathroom will help if you don't have a vaporizer

Probably reverse sneezing. When he does it...place two fingers over his nostrils. This will force him to open his mouth to breathe and the episode will stop.

| Does it sound like a goose honk? That can be a symptom of a collapsed trachea. Do you use a collar on Chewy? |
