My 3 year old Yorkie had bladder stones removed via surgery 9 days ago. I was told this was common in Yorkies. His urine still shows some blood in it and he has to urinate almost constantly just like before the surgery. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, think I should return to the vet?

I am sorry your baby is still having problems. I really think it would be wise to call the vet. He should be able to answer your question. I have never had a dog with bladder stones. I hope he gets better soon.

That definitely doesn't sound normal. You need to call your vet.

This is normal. Your dog is still healing. small amounts of blood in the urine is common as well as the frequency of urination. it will subside shortly. if you are concerned tho, by all means call your vet
