| stool problems My pumpkin has had stool problems since we got her. He was 8 weeks and had very soft stool sometimes diarrhea. We took him to the vet, no worms or parasites they said and put him on a diet to settle her stomach. Well it got better but as soon as the medication was finished he started with the loose stool again and now it has blood in it. He poops at least 10+ times a day! is this normal for puppies to go so often, and what could be causing the bleeding? He doesn't seem to be in any pain, he's happy and crazy running around the house...please give some advice |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I'd really be concerned about a young pup having this severe diarrhea - he could really go down fast. I would get him back in asap and check for giardia. Giardia is notorious for hiding under microscope, so it may have been missed the 1st time. Also, it is very re-infective - so if he had it, then meds made it better - he probably was reinfected bc you have to clean everywhere when they're healing from giardia.

| Ahhh....poor little pumkin' I hope you took him back to the Vet - he is so young and shouldn't be pooping liquid 10x a day....He is probably dehydrated and then can go down hill fast - Please keep us posted |
