BLOOD CLOTS in Urine?? Hello.. my 2 year old baby just finished her heat cycle... about 5 days ago or so. Today I noticed small dark colored spot in her urine. So being the mother I am, I pinched one in between a napkin and it seemed to be a blood clot. Is this normal for females after their heat cycle? She's had about 3 cycles and this is the first time she had ever had it. Could this be a urinary tract infection? Thanks.. -Krystle PS- thanks to those who have recommended a a special diet for my "allergy boy" (ziggy) =)

Yes, it could be a uti or normal but I'd want to have it checked by the vet if you observe it again or notice any straining etc

Dark spot in urian circle I'm sorry I can't help you, but I have a simalar question. My male, 3 year old has had a dark spot in the center of his pee for the last few days. It isn't red a bit, but could be dried blood. Has anyone seen this before and could it be sign of infection? He doesn't act sluggish and he doesn't have a temp.

| For both owners seeing something that may be blood in the urine, they need to see the vet. Blood in urine needs to be treated. For the female though, are you sure she is done with her heat?

Well she started on Dec. 23.. and if in fact the heat cycle is for 3 weeks/21 days... the 13 or 14 wouls have been about 21 days. Also, my male doggie isn't attracted to her anymore... I guess I'll bring her to the vet is she had it again.. but today, I haven't seen a blood clot yet. Thanks again! -Krystle
