| Scared for my yorkie I thought things were getting better for my Suzi. She had not vomited all day yesterday.... However, right at midnight it started again. She also had been having droplets off diarreah all night long. I waited to take her in to the vet because she seemed to be doing better yesterday.... i've been up all night with her, and cleaning up messess. She now goes in at 2:45 this afternoon. What could have caused this ? She has never been this sick before , stays inside, and is usually never too far away from me. She is 10 months old, has had all her vaccinations too. I am scared , and very exhausted right now.

| There are just so many things that it could be. Because it seems so severe, my first two thoughts are pancreatitis or parvo but it is likely just a virus or something. If her gums aren't perfectly pink, I would not wait until 2:45. Are you giving pedialyte or is she not holding it down? I would insist on blood work. Is the diarrhea bloody?

They should have black pigment but the pink parts should be pink, not gray, white or blue. I'm sure you are scared. Just get her in and the vet should be able to help.

Therapy Dog Donating Member | OK I'm not an expert or anything but have you have baby Suzi checked for pancreatitis? Is she lethargic? Not acting herself? My Izzy was fine for almost two years without any sign of being ill and then wham right before Thanksgiving she started to have soft stools and not eating or playing. Good thing I took her in to our vet and then did some bloodwork and poor thing was diagnosed with this. Good thing we went..if we would have waiting she might not have made it. She is now on a prescription diet for the rest of her life. She can't process fats or high protein. Good luck and hope your baby gets well soon. Keep us posted.

| Good News, I just got off the phone with the vet's and the office lady talked to Suzi's vet, he told me to come right over... NOW, So I got to get my kid up, and we ar eout of here. Please, pLease, please pray for my Suzi baby, that it is nothing hugely seriouis and she will be fine. I am hysterical inside, and have to drive nearly an hr away, and have no sleep hardly at all.... She is my baby and i'd rather die then to see her suffer.

| It is good that she has energy to do that but it's still an emergency.

| My fingers and toes are crossed that little Suzi will be just fine! I know both my boys got sick back in May with vomit, diarrhea, when I took Fletch to the vet they had no idea what it was. Said he ate something, he had no bugs and no infection. Then I remembered seeing them near the diving board of the pool where the ducks were. I went over and there was duck poo and I now believe they ate some and it made them super sick for a few days. She probably ate something bad for her. These little ones are so gross sometimes. I mean duck poop?? eeewwwww I hope Suzi feels better soon though!
