| Hypoglycemia and at vet since Sat Krissy is 10 weeks and we are so in love with her already. We had to take her to the vet Saturday. Since it was the weekend we went to the vet hospital our vet recommends for 24 hr care. They are $$$$$. She had a blood sugar of 31 when we brought her in. She is doing better and maintaining around 100-110. The vet keeps saying they want to watch her more that she isn't as perky as they would like to see. Maybe she is tired of being there. I was given an estimate Saturday of $500 which did include BAT that came back negative. Anyway I am at the point we need her home because I am not sure I can take the bill going higher. My husband stopped by there today and the vet said she wanted to watch her more to see if she could maintain her level. We are going on vacation next week and the vet says we should board Krissy but my mom was going to keep her. My mom is a dog lover and I feel bad after her being at the vet to make her go back. I feel it would be best to let my mom keep her. They said we will have to make sure she eats every 4 hours. She has never been a big eater and we just started her on Natural Balance but I am going to have to mix it with canned food to get her to eat. She weighs 2 lbs so how much nutrical should she get? |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I hope she is home soon. My Cali had several epsiodes of hypoglycemia when she was a puppy. The main thing is they have to eat every 3-4 hours even at night time. And use the nutrical as directed by your vet. If your mom knows what to look for as signs of hypoglycemia and makes sure she eats she wpuld probably do ok.
