I have had Krissy on a diet as she gained a few lbs. She should weigh around 9 lbs but she got up to 11.4. I still feed the same food just instead of free feeding I have hand fed all of my fur babies. Everyone but Krissy was fine with it. Krissy is getting 3/4 cup in the morning. 1/2 cup for lunch and 3/4 cup at dinner and you would think I starved her!

Today she acted like she was starving so I gave her a cup of non-fat cottage cheese and she was gobbling it up. She fell down and jumped back up and ate more, she fell down again! This happened 4 times. My hubby is rushing her to the vet now - boy I wish I didn't have to work!

I sure hope she is OK..

She fell down?? Like flat on her side?? That is REALLY weird. I sure hope she's okay.

OMG

! That gave me goosebumps! I pray she will be perfectly fine! Oh goodness. You must be in a sheer panic! I pray Krissy will be well and will be looking for an update (constantly). My thoughts are with you guys.

That is so strange. Sending prayer's and good wishes for her.
Hope she's ok, poor baby. It stinks you have to sit there and suffer
until you hear from your hubby.

Ok the vet feed her some dry food and watched her and she did the same thing. The vet said Krissy is gobbling the food so fast it is cutting off her air and making her fall. So much for a diet! This was too scary.

Everything else is fine and she had blood work done a month ago which was fine.

The vet said even at 11 lbs she is not fat and it seems to be alot of muscle weight so I can feed her more just give her it a very little at a time. Krissy never had food issues before but now all of a sudden this happened.

Our vet is so awesome! They took her right in.

The vet actually called and explained if she has always free fed and then that is stopped it can make some dogs panic, so that is what happened with Krissy. She will be getting 10 to 20 pieces of food hand fed ever hour until she settles down and doesn't think she will starve!

Boy you think you know alot and learn more and more all the time - there little fur butts keep you on you toes!!!

I am so relieved.....
