Donating YT 10K Club Member | Yes she needs to see a vet. She's very small and can become dehydrated from the vomiting.

| If a three pound Yorkie was handled roughly by a child and is now acting lethargic and vomiting I am very concerned this puppy may have a head injury. Do you know if the child dropped the puppy? You need to tell her to take the puppy to a vet. |

My Little Man! Donating Member | I agree with others, you need to tell your friend to bring that pup to the vet asap.

| Well there is no emergency vet where she is...but she did rub nutrical on her gums and I told her to give her just a few drops of pepto (instead of 1 cc like she had done earlier). She did all of this and the pup kept all of it down. Which is good. I also told her if she kept the pepto down to give her a few more drops and then about 15 minutes later to give her about pea size of nutrical to help until morning. She didn't eat her supper-so maybe the nutrical will help....I will let you know how things are by morning....If you have any other suggestions please let me know. She is not sure what happened with the kid. She was in the other room....it is her nephew and he is just there for a visit. |

| We went to the vet this morning. Zelda is in the ICU getting cortisone and IV fluids....The vet said that we will see how she is doing by morning and make a decision then...if she is better then she comes home if not then she will cross the rainbow bridge! My friend is heartbroken....The vet believes that it is a head trauma He thinks that she may come around....we will see in the morning. |

| I was afraid it was head trauma from her symptoms. What a sad, tragic lesson about small children and small dogs. I pray this puppy will survive. Please keep us posted. |

My Little Man! Donating Member | Thank you for update. Poor little dog, I was affraid to think it was head trauma too. That is one of the reasons why dogs and kids need to be supervised at all times. I will pray for this poor puppy that it will pull through. Please keep us updated.
