| Oh NO! My sweet Sassy ate tin foil! I have these two rescue kittens and I had made them two little balls (squished and rolled up hard) from tin foil to bat around. They just love them. I never even considered that Sass would chew on/eat it! But she did. I don't know how much she might have eaten. It was still partly intact and there was quite a bit shredded up around where she was chewing it. I got none out of her mouth because there was none in hter. I don't know if she actually ate any of it or just chewed it up. I called the vet and am taking her in for x-rays tomorrow. Anybody else had a similar problem and if so, what did you do and how did it turn out? I am soooo distressed! |

I can't even believe it happened. I never thought for a minute that she would chew that ball of foil. It couldn't have smelled good. It was a brand new piece. Nothing to attract her and she isn't a 'chewer'....she almost never gets in trouble. My poor baby. | |

| Checking in on Sassy. Those little buggers sure know how to keep us on our toes. Hope the vet gives you the all clear and at worst you have some shiny poo to look for.

| So sorry! They will eat anything. Mine will, too. I have to watch her so closely when we're walking, because she will pick up anything at all.

| I am so sorry. I hope she will be okay. Kayla is going to turn my hair gray if she doesn't settle down. They will eat anything that doesn't eat them first. We have had a couple of major scares too. Praying for your baby. |

| Thanks to everyone for your expressions of concern. I couldn't get an appointment until 3:40 pacific time, so we will be leaving shortly. When I called the vet they said either x-ray or wait and see if she passes it on her own. I can't take the chance that it will all come out and any chance of intestinal blockage scares the beejeebees outa me. So I opted for the x-ray because if I didn't and something hapened to her and she suffered because of me, well....you know. It would kill me, I think. I will post as soon as we get back home, and once again....thank you all so much! |
