| I would try taking him to a different vet to get a second opinion.

| Congrats on your new baby! Sorry he's not feeling well. If the doc thinks it might be allergy-based, have you discussed the food he's on? Sniffles and a runny nose are no fun at all.

| You might take his temperature. If he has no temperature, and he continues eating, drinking and playing, then I would think that he will be OK until Tuesday. I am only telling you what I myself would do. If his symptoms get worse, or he quits eating or drinking, then...I would take him to the vet straight away. I agree that "a different vet" is a good idea! |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | When 2 of mine had kennel cough it took 3 months to clear it up and 3 rounds of antibiotics to prevent a bacterial infection. I would watch him and if he seems the least bit distressed take him in. You could try running a hot shower and sitting with him in the bathroom as the steam does help. I use to do that every couple of nights when mine had it. Hope he feels better soon.

| in addition to the rest of the advice on this thread, I would give the baby crushed vitamin C tablets and consider adding a good multivitamin to boost immunity.

| I agree with Patti! When you shower, take him in the bathroom and the steam will help. When I got Meeko, he developed a respiratory congestion and the vet suggested to do this. I still bring him in with me now. I can easily keep an eye on him and know he's not getting into anything bad and the steam still helps keep him clear. I'd also go to a different vet. I'm shocked your vet sold him to you when he's sick! Good luck!!!

| Just wanted to say welcome to YT. How is your new baby doing? I noticed you are from Orem. I lived there for 16 years before I moved to california. In fact all 3 of my kids were born there. And BOY has it GROWN! I couldn't believe it whenb I was there a year ago.

Now Ella Bean still loves coming to the shower with me! I call it her "sauna time."
